Faso travels to six planets. During her journey, she encounters six intelligent living creatures, each with its own distinctive system of governance.  At the end of the journey, Faso and Paso arrive on an uninhabited planet, where they are tasked with creating and implementing a new socio-political system for newly formed intelligent beings.

Scene 1. Augur, 징후

She has returned,

from her long sojourn away.

One night—

Beneath a blade of moonlight,

keen enough to sever flesh,

My heart recoiled in fear,

Yet my eyes, spellbound,

were drawn toward the radiant White Queen,

gleaming amidst the abyss.

Leaning against the window,

I watched as her arrival

froze the world below into stillness,

shadows quietly petrified in the queen’s visit.

Time seemed to halt,

the world of motionless objects suspended.

A secret tableau,

inviting forbidden glances.

And then—

There she was,

standing before my house.

Who was she?

No sound of footsteps,

no sign of her presence.

How long had she been there, silently waiting?

An unfamiliar silhouette—

yet somehow, achingly familiar.

I descended the stairs.

To the door.

Should I open it?

I hesitated for a moment.

And then, I opened.

Beyond the door,

she stood,

half-turned away,

still as a statue,

a shadow lingered between us,

and the silence hung heavy,

dense as a void.

“Come in,” I said.

“You can come in now.”

Only then did she turn her head,

our eyes meeting.

She,

a faerie of the night.

Her face bore the weariness of long wandering,

my faerie,

so tired from her journey.

“It’s been a while,” I murmured.

She said nothing.

“Would you like some tea?”

A faint smile flickered across her pale face.

As the sweet aroma of tea

filled the room,

she sat at the table and fell asleep.

I watched her as she breathed softly,

her face serene,

cheeks like shy roses,

lashes dark and long,

lips parted slightly,

as if they might let a flute’s melody escape.

How long has it been?

You—

once a part of me, like a twin in my soul.

A confidant of fate, with no secrets between us.

A siren of allure, pulling me under.

A herald of ravage, haunting me with fear.

You.

I brushed back

the cascade of black hair,

waves of shadow spilling down,

as she opened her eyes,

quietly.

I offered her the tea.

“Drink while it’s warm.”

“I thought you’d forgotten me,”

She said.

“I thought you’d forgotten me,”

She repeated.

“Me?”

“Yes.

It was you who stopped looking for me.”

“That’s true,”

“I didn’t look for you.”

“Why?”

“I was afraid. Afraid you’d harm my child if you returned.”

She tilted her head slightly.

“I was your…”

“And so,

Whenever I felt your shadow drawing near,

I ran.”

“Then why did you open the door tonight?”

I paused, the words fragile on my lips.

“I guess…

I must have missed you.

I’m glad you’re here.”

“You are glad?”

“Yes.”

 I said, quietly but certain.
